SHANGHAI -- China's exports rose in June at the quickest pace in five months as the country eased growth-denting virus restrictions, but a slowdown in imports highlighted still-tepid demand at home.

The pickup in shipments overseas offered more evidence that the world's No. 2 economy was staging a modest rebound, with second-quarter gross domestic product figures due on Friday.
