Tata superapp offers everything from salt to luxury hotels

India's largest industrial group to take on Amazon, Flipkart, local rivals

MUMBAI -- Tata Group, India's largest conglomerate, has launched Tata Neu, a superapp that offers customers a range of in-house products, from groceries to airline tickets, as it seeks a foothold in the country's $38 billion e-commerce market.

"The Tata Group is focused on transforming businesses for the digital world, and in the consumer context, bringing them together into a unified platform that offers an omnichannel experience," said Natarajan Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company for Tata Group.
