NEW YORK -- Hyundai Motor Group and partner SK On will build a new electric-vehicle battery factory in the U.S. state of Georgia to supply American assembly lines of the South Korean automaker under plans announced Thursday.

The factory is expected to start up in 2025 and bring in about $4 billion to $5 billion in investment in the plant and the surrounding county, Hyundai said.
